This single family home is an infill in a 1950s suburban area. It replaces a house which was totally inefficient in plan and took no cognisance of orientation.
The new house was split into two blocks with a single storey connecting entrance hall resulting in the sun penetrating the plan from sunrise to sunset.
The plan is ‘invaded’ by its planted garden mainly of trees and evergreen shrubs front and rear. A planted screen covers the front facade.
